Running a business places enormous demands on your brain.
Every day you’re making decisions, switching between tasks, managing people, solving problems and absorbing new information.
Your brain is doing an extraordinary amount of work behind the scenes.
This has long term consequences.
Most founders optimise their marketing, systems and growth strategy, yet almost nobody optimises the brain running the business.
And over time the effects start to show:
• Brain fog
• Poor focus
• Decision fatigue
• Constant mental overload
• Difficulty switching off at night
• Feeling less sharp than you used to
This is a cognitive load problem.
The good news is: it can be fixed.
Over 5 days you’ll learn the foundations of cognitive performance and brain health.
Each session takes 15–30 minutes and includes practical changes you can apply immediately.
At the end of the challenge we’ll bring everything together in a live masterclass where I’ll show you how to design your work and business around your cognitive strengths.
Not hacks
Not productivity tricks
Real, evidence-based ways to run a business your brain can actually sustain.

Running a business doesn’t just shape your company.
It shapes your brain.
The habits many founders rely on to succeed such as long hours, constant decisions, chronic stress, poor sleep and endless digital stimulation, place enormous demands on the cognitive systems responsible for attention, judgement and strategic thinking.
Over time those pressures accumulate.
Research now shows that between 40% and 90% of dementia cases are considered preventable, strongly influenced by lifestyle and environmental factors.
Which means the way you work today is quietly shaping the health of your brain tomorrow.

Hi, I’m Natalie Mackenzie, known as The Cognitive Strategist.
For over 24 years I’ve worked in cognitive health and brain injury, helping people understand how their brain works and how to rebuild cognitive function after trauma.
Alongside that work, I’ve also spent two decades building and running a multi-million-pound business, which gave me a front-row seat to the cognitive demands placed on entrepreneurs and leaders.
Over time I noticed something striking.
Many of the cognitive struggles I saw in business owners looked surprisingly familiar:
• brain fog
• decision fatigue
• mental overload
• declining clarity
• poor finances
Not brain injury — but clear cognitive strain.
Today my work focuses on helping founders and leaders understand how their brain works and how to protect it long term while building successful businesses.
My background combines:
• BSc Psychology
• MSc Cognitive Neuropsychology
• 20+ years in cognitive rehabilitation and brain health
• leadership of a multi-million-pound organisation
Everything I teach is built on one core idea:
Your business depends on your brain.
You should probably understand how it works.
By the end of the week you will:
• Understand how your cognition actually works
• Recognise the habits draining your mental performance
• Learn practical ways to reduce cognitive overload
• Start protecting your brain for the long term
